Creation Details

Geneva, World Time Soars is an Atelier WOCS creation, meticulously crafted in the Geneva ateliers, where artistry and precision converge. Designed with exceptional attention to detail, this composition intertwines the legendary DC-3 aircraft with the refined complexity of the 5531R-012 World Time, offering a vision where time and travel become one.

Produced in a limited edition of 50 numbered pieces, each work is signed and individually numbered, bearing the Maison’s seal and accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity.

The Story Behind

World Time Soars unfolds as a vivid intersection of aviation's golden era and modern horological excellence. A DC-3 airplane, emblematic of classic grandeur, navigates gracefully through the sophisticated dial of the 5531R-012 World Time. This confluence, merging the vintage with the cutting-edge, stands as testament to the assertion: the classic is indeed timeless.

From 1 o'clock to 6 o'clock, the dial's entrancing luminescent arc casts an ethereal glow, painting a metaphor of the perpetual passage from yesterday to today. The Swiss insignia on the aircraft, HB-COT, subtly tips its hat to Louis Cottier, the visionary behind the World Time mechanism, encapsulating the narrative of pioneering spirits transcending eras.

With a nod to Noel Fontanet's 1935 "Time is Money," this composition shifts the paradigm. Here, time is neither commodity nor currency; it is heritage. And World Time Soars becomes an ode to the enduring spirit of classics, which, irrespective of the era, continue to soar with distinction and grace.
