The Story Behind

This one-of-a-kind composition pays tribute to Dubai’s maritime heritage, when pearl divers and dhow captains shaped the foundations of the city’s prosperity. Long before the rise of glass towers, it was the sea that carried the hopes of generations. The artwork captures the Al Gaffal race, retracing the historic return route of the pearl fleet. Against the backdrop of the Burj Al Arab, an icon of modern ambition, traditional dhows sail in harmony with the deep blue, evoking a time when the wind was both guide and lifeline.
