Splügen Pass | 50 pieces Limited edition
|Edition||Edition of 50 signed art prints|
|Collection||Swiss National Library, Bern|
This forgotten mountain pass allows you to gain Italy when the St Gotthard and San Bernadino roads are congested. On the Swiss side, the road is particularly steep and has a number of hairpin bends. Splügen is considered to be one of the oldest and
and most representative of the mountain villages in Graubünden.
Grisons. In 1995, it was awarded the Wakker Prize for the preservation of its
historical structures. Montespluga, the alpine village at the end of the
Italian side of the pass, is also a must-see.
The artwork represents a Bush-Plane, an aircraft frequently used in the Alps for its particularity of being able to to take off and land on very short distances. Its gigantic tires at the front allow it to absorb sometimes vertiginous landings on
on hills with very strong inclinations.
