"Lac Leman, Nyon, Fleur Bleue," pays homage to the legendary Fleur Bleue sailboat and its remarkable history. Launched in July 1939 from Jean Oester's shipyard in Rolle, Switzerland, Fleur Bleue, registered as Z7, achieved an unparalleled record of 614 victories in regattas on Lake Geneva over the span of five decades.

This iconic monotype, belonging to the Lacustre class, continued to sail until 2003. Discovered in 2008 by Carinne Bertola, project manager for the extension of the Lake Geneva Museum, it was subsequently entrusted to Philippe Durr's boatyard for safekeeping. Currently undergoing an extensive restoration at the Chantier naval du Vieux-Port in Versoix, this Honduran mahogany masterpiece will be meticulously returned to its original condition. Initiated by the Fondation du Musée du Leman, this colossal undertaking demands 2,000 hours of labor and a budget of approximately CHF 165,000. The esteemed vessel has since become a valued addition to the collections of the Museum of Nyon.
